Christmas is a time when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God. Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem 2000 years ago. Today people around the world celebrate Christmas Day on the 25th of December every year. |

Joseph and Mary went from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Mary was going to have a baby. When they arrived in the town, there was nowhere for them to stay. There was no room at any of the inns. |
 |
A kind man let them stay in his stable. Jesus was born that very night. Mary and Joseph made a bed for him in an animal's manger. |
 |
Shepherds came to see Jesus in the stable. They said angels had told them about this special baby. Three wise men came to give gifts to Jesus. A bright star in the sky had shown them the way. |
