Christmas in China

 

Most of the people in China are not Christians, so do not celebrate Christmas. Chinese New Year at the end of January is their major celebration.

   Those who are Christians celebrate Christmas in different ways depending on the part of China they are from. In some parts of China they celebrate Christmas by lighting their houses with paper lanterns and decorating their Christmas trees, which they call "Trees of Light," with paper chains, paper flowers, and paper lanterns
