It's a snowy Christmas for people
living in Alaska! Many people in Alaska celebrate Christmas as people do
in the U.S.A.
Some Alaskan people who have a Russian background
celebrate Christmas on January 7th. Their celebration includes a
procession called Carrying The Star. For three nights people walk from
house to house carrying tinsel trimmed wheels called stars. The
people carrying the stars represent the angels who came to announce the
birth of Christ.
