You will need:

1. Cut one piece of cardboard 15cm X 10cm and one 10cm X 5 cm. Wrap wool thirty to forty times around the 15 cm long cardboard. |
2. Slip an 8
cm piece of wool under one end of the wrapped section. Pull tightly and
tie the ends together in a firm knot.

3. Slip the wool off the cardboard. |
4. Tie another
piece of wool about 2cm below the first tie. This will be the top of the
doll's head.

| 5 To make the arms, wind the wool about 15 times around the 10cm long piece of cardboard. Slip the wool off the cardboard. With short lengths of wool, tie tightly close to each end to form the hands. | 6. Insert the arms between the wool under the doll's head. |
7. Tie tightly again below the arms. For a neater doll, make sure that all of your knots are at the back of the doll. Insert a hanging loop under the tie at the top of the head. Knot the ends. |
8. For trousers, divide the wool below the waist in half lengthwise. Tie each section 1-2 centimetres from the bottom to complete the legs. For a skirt cut the wool loops at the bottom. This will form a flowing skirt! |
