The ANZAC Discoveries teaching and learning resource is a fabulous gateway to Professional Development for individual teachers, syndicates, whole staff, and Home Schoolers.
- At one level,
the resource is based on the Brainways Keys to Teaching
and Learning, so Professional
Development is built right in to the resource. Examples are the use of
Multiple Intelligences in the
activities, the assessment activities, and
use of multiple levels of information.
- At another level, a number of the really important philosophical and pedagogical (the art and science of teaching and learning) issues have been lifted away from the resource so teachers can explore ideas - within the context of the ANZAC Discoveries resource - just in time, rather than just in case! Examples are Multiple Intelligences, Learning Centres, and the idea of Setting up for Success.
